Dakshinkali Temple, Kathmandu

Return

The Temple of Dakshinkali occupies a beautiful setting about 2 km south-east of the Shikhara Narayan Temple of Pharping and is one of the most famous temples in Kathmandu Valley, especially on Saturday when many devotees come here to worship the Goddess.

The black goddess (Kali) is an incarnation of power. On some occasions Goddess Kali is offered animal sacrifices.

Only Hindus are permitted to go inside.
