The Temple of Bhairavnath stands a few yards east of Nyatapola Temple in Bhaktapur.

The gold gilded top floor of the temple has some interesting architectural features. The roof and windows are also gilded.

On the occasion of Biska Jatra, which is celebrated on the first of Baisakh (13th or 14th April) the image of Lord Bhairav is taken around the city.
