The Seti Khola Valley

The Seti Khola flows through a wide fertile valley, which offers the discerning walker the opportunity to experience the fascinating rural life of Nepal without endless ups and downs. The area is excellent for easy treks in the winter months from mid November to late February.

Starting with a half hour drive out to the Tibetan refugee camp at Hyanja the walking trail leads north across the fields to Mardi bridge and then on into the Seti river valley itself. The route passes the attractive village of Ghachok and then hot springs further north at Dipring. With the option of a forest / hill camp during the return to Pokhara, this easy trek is recommended for those who, for whatever reason, prefer easy walking or half days allowing the rest of the time to be devoted to hobbies – sketching, painting, reading, photography – with all the usual comforts of camp life.

From 3 up to six days could be well spent in this area.
