A Digital Bridge to Nepal

| The idea behind this portal is to create a digital
bridge between Nepal and the outside world. In many ways, the
advance of information technology has widened the divide between
the West and the developing world. This project aims to tap into
the advantages of IT in a way which shifts resources to Nepal. |

| In the short term this project is providing advice
and affordable internet promotion to the travel industry in Nepal
as well as funding worthwhile causes in the rural areas of the
country. In the medium to longer term, the project is designed
to increase the level of economic and commercial resources flowing
into Nepal through its tourist industry. As well as informing
small and medium sized businesses about the advantages and pitfalls
associated with using the Web, we are encouraging and supporting
the development of IT skills in Nepal. |
