Holi or Fagu Purnima

One of the most exciting festivals is Holi or Fagu Purnima which takes place in March. It commences with the erection of the chir pole in Kathmandu Durbar Square - a warning that anyone could be splashed with water balloons and vermillion powder.The last day of the festival is the wildest as youths roam the streets both looking for targets and as targets themselves.
