Pokhara is well connected with Kathmandu and the other major centres. There are several ways of travelling between Pokhara and Kathmandu:

• Flights take only 30 minutes and offer spectacular views of the Himalayas framing the Pokhara Valley. Costs from around 120 - 135 US$ / adult return.
• Going by road is more comfortable by car (25 US$ / adult return) and takes around 5 hours each way - giving ample opportunity to observe life along the main highway which winds along the Trisuli river. (By bus is around 10 US$ / adult return).
• For the more adventurous, the journey to Pokhara can be combined with a white water rafting trip down the Trisuli river (approx 25 US$ / day).
